power steering delete

Im doing the nt to turbo conversion. Few things ofcourse came up. Power steering is in the way of my waste gate. I know people do the delete. Just wanting to know the best way to plug the lines and ### are the pros and cons? Besides the obvious 1 of it will be harder to steer. Any imput is greatly appreciated.

For 1gs you can remove your power steering and install a manual rack and pinion from a 1.8 1G.

It will definitely be harder to steer, but only under low speed turns, and during "no speed" turns like parking lots and parking. The easiest way to "technically" diconnect the power steering is to remove the pump from the bracket and loop the lines. Although the right way to do it (and the better way) is the purchase the non power steering rack and associated brackets.

That is very much true. I never knew that the 1g 1.8 rack and pinion would fit. I will have to look into a few salvage yards to see what i can find. The things us DSMers do for alittle bit of power.

And on another note the parts bits and peices will be up for sale for anybody that is or knows someone that is needing nt and a few turbo parts. eagle talon parts 1g 4g63 not sure if im allowed to post that since it is off and sort of on topic. If not i appoligize.
