I just eliminated my AC & p/s. I was wondering what I do with the lines that run from the p/s pump to the steering rack. i took them off but how do i plug the lines? With bolts and rubber hoses? Loop them? Never ran a car with out a p/s pump so im new to this.

Thanks. I searched ALOT and didnt find anything like this. I guess there are two ways the do it. Either looping the two or plugging them. Which is the smarter decision? And are there any safety percautions when doing this?

when my PS cooler line broke i just looped the out to the in and it has been good for the last 4 years for me.

but for power steering delete i would loop it for the pressure of the piston inside will still function, as if it were plugged it would have problems.

Ok guys thanks. Umm while im at it id like to get all your opinions on how the car drives without p/s. I have read alot about it and alot of people complain. My belt snapped and i drove home with it like that with ease. then, i was a newb and didnt know the p/s belt was the same belt that runs the water pump & alt. got home and it was steaming, but wasnt overheating, just a little warmer than usual. i was like....ahh. Anyway, it wasnt hard at all. I also raced dirt mini Stocks at the age of 13-16 with no p/s. simple. now i race dirt imca modifieds and they are a bit harder to drive (120mph on dirt YEE HAWW) with p/s and quick steer.

I like it already. Its nothing outta the ordinary. Just curious thats all. The thread Defiant posted had alot of people complaining. But it was kinda outdated though.

Personally, I'd convert to the RS manual rack. I myself prefer manual steering - you get better feel for the road, and it's one less thing to break on your car. Once you're rolling, it's really no different than power steering. You just need to use a little more muscle to turn into parking spots.

Yea Id like to get one but....no money. all of it just went toward my engine. It is one of the best "after mod" mods. After removing the p/s.
