power steering question

Will a 2g non turbo power steering pump fit in a 2g turbo car? Mine is messed up but i know where i can find a non turbo steering pump. Please let me know and sorry if this question has been asked before but this forum is so huge. Recently my alternator belt snapped. It was the origional and i have 83 k on the car. The pulley on my current PS pump seems to be angled wierd you can see it isnt aligned right. How hard is it to replace/ buy a new harmonic balancer since i saw that mentioned int hese problems before

no a 420a power steering pump wont fit a 4g63. Its easy 2 replace i think ps pump only has three maybe four bolts,turn the pully until the holes in the pully are over the front 2 bolts and the other one is behind pump next 2 head.The harmonic is easy 2, remove bolts and it should come right off if its stuck take a big flat tip and slide behind it then bump with your palm.when u put the new one on star the bolts and snug them down with your fingers then take a rubber mallet and tap it dont beat it around the edge to make sure it seats right.

as far as i know it would. the only difference is the 7 and 6 bolt which has nothing to do with the PS pump. i think it owuld work. try and search it and see if you come up with anything

I have a 1g PS pump(could be GVR-4) sitting in my garage and it uses a V-belt unlike the 2g, so it won't work unless you change the pulley for it on the water pump as well.

What is your ps pump doing now that is messed up?

Could be just the belt isn't tight enough, does it squeal? my buddy's rs eclipse failed to work when ever he cornered. Come to find out before we got a new ps pump it was the belt that was loose. Have a buddy sit in the car with it running and jerk the wheel to the left and right while you stand out in the cold and see if the pulley stops. If the pulley stops moving then the belts loose.

Just in case it's not your ps pump( don't want to be wasting money).
