2G power steering pressure switch

Is it ok to leave un hooked. The eclipse has the sensor on the pump, which im no longer using. The srt has it on the rack which i wont be using.

The PS pressure switch causes the ecu to bump the idle speed slightly when it recieves steering input.
Mine was unhooked for a while with me even knowing it. I don't see a problem, but you may want to kick your idle up alittle to make up for it if it drops too low when not rolling and turning.

Hmm thanks! But i had a brain fart today. Can i put the switch in the high pressuer side of the power stearing line? Sorta like the srt? And put a t fitting before it goes into the rack?
