Okay, I've checked all the threads I could find about this and none really describe my issue, they mostly describe a total power loss. My issue is very intermittent and makes no sense to me. First off here's what I'm talking about. '93 eagle talon Tsi Awd, fmic, 14b with 16g housings swapped, open bov and hks boost controller. I've been told that the controller is set to 7psi( I misplaced the paperwork so I'm not sure if this is correct). Also, when I purchased the car, the j-pipe had a nice gap which was causing major boost leak at the turbo(new housing fixed that issue) also have all new gaskets and seals on turbo and bolts. The fmic is a little beat up and the piping is exhaust tubing that's been "fitted" to the car, the couplings at some spots were leaking and I've fixed what I could with what I had( new piping kit to be purchased soon). With all this being said, the issue at hand is while I am driving my car, it has a sudden power loss and quickly comes back. It's as if the car dies while cruising. It does it throughout running( no temp range). It also does not drop gauges as it happens, everything stays functional. It's like the car is stalling as I'm driving. Wires look good, haven't checked plugs yet. The questions I have are, is this/could this be boost leak? Could it be fuel cut? Could it be I'm overlooking something very simple? I'm just not sure, and while my fwd is down due to an engine build, this worries me to an extreme.
