pocket logger

anyone know if this is a good pocket logger its a sony color screen model is sony clie SJ22,
anyone have input on this?? let me know looking at buying one

I say hit up ebay for a palm iiic.
they're cheap and work great for our purposes.

Having used the Clie series palm devices before, I would say go for it. Make sure you have the cables available to you before you commit to the purchase, though. I know there are several Sony Clie's out there that cannot use serial cables to sync. Pocketlogger.com has a pretty comprehensive list.

ok so lets say i do go with one off ebay,
does it really matter what model the palm pilot is? i mean all im going to use it for is tuning.
do you guys recomend buying it off ebay and then getting the software and cables from pocketlogger.com
im a newbie coming to tuning so i need some guidance.

I'm in the process of buying my ebay gear as we speak.
I'm hoping to hit up a palm iiic (color) with cradle and possibley a mini keyboard for around $45. I already have my Pocketlogger cable from pocketloggers.com for $129 And I've also already got my $5 serial AND usb cable from ebay so i can hook the palm directly to the logger cable.

so far its cost me ~$180 to get the things I need. You can go cheaper..but not by much.

Do a search for "auto on" cable on ebay, there is a guy up there that sells these cables for $24 + shipping and he'll include a copy of MMCD logging software. I have about $50 in my palm M100, cable & software. Best $50 I ever spent!!!

i just bought a palm m125 for $30 and the cable from some one else (with the software on cd) for$9 shipped,off ebay. I figured to go the cheap route and when i figure out what im doing i might buy a nice one.

Mattspyder, dont listen to these guys.
For the most part they're confusing 1g's with 2g's.

We need OBDII compatible stuff, which is costly and impossible to home fabricate - unlike our 1g counterparts, where making your own cables and using any software you like is both easy and cheap.
