pnp and alum radiator help

Ok guys I have 2 quick questions how do I go about setting up a 4g63 aluminum radiator in my 2gnt like will the rad its self fit the mounts? And where can I find a plug and play ecu for the 420a any help on either question is appreciated

The 2g turbo and N/T radiators use the same mounting locations. Just keep in mind the hose outlet locations are different on both the top and bottom.

For the radiator it will take some level of fabrication to get it to work. I am currently on the finishing touches of putting in an afco radiator into my 420a eclipse. Pics can be found on page 2 and 3 of my build thread.

You won't find a plug and play ecu for the 420a. Symtech may be able to set you up with something close but they never released anything plug and play.

Thanks guys I knew I had to make up hoses I was gonnna use unmolded hose the longer hoses shouldn't be That badi figured there wasn't a plug and play afteer weeks of searching I wonder if I could do every wire with a male and female connector kinda make it plug and play

Yea you could buy a couple male and female weather connectors. Mouser has a ton to choose from in a variety of styles and number of pins

Why not get the proper molded hoses so they fit right? Using unmolded ones may cause cavitation in the coolant if there are kinks in the hoses due to the bends if they're that extreme. I'd get the proper molded ones to be safe.

I don't think they make molded hoses for using a turbo radiator with an N/T engine. The lower outlet on the turbo radiator is on the passengers side while it's on the drivers side for the N/T. That'd be one heck of a hose to be able to just buy off the shelf.

You might want to look into the stainless steel flex hose they have for radiators. They come in different lengths and ids. I had a rubber flex hose on my camaro that I left on for about a week due to the fact that it kinked like a mofo.

What I was gonna do was go up to oreillys and pull a few hoses and cut ### I need and use a metal pipe and clamps to join up the hose I'm looking at a lot of cars hoses now fining bends I could maybe use Ive noticed that neons hoses have the angles I need trial and error seems to be the radiatior solution

You know there's not much gain if any with an aftermarket radiator on a stock motor right? Waste of money really, as nice as the radiator will look with ugly routing of the hoses defeat the purpose. I still think it's cleaner and better to find a welding shop to tig in the openings in the right spot then use proper hoses. Just my thoughts though never seen anyone do it before.

If you're set on getting an aluminum radiator, why not just look into getting a Fluidyne made for an N/T?

We looked into buying 2g N/T aluminum rads about a year ago. We couldn't find a single one. Every single supplier who claimed to carry them, couldn't produce a single real-life rad. A picture on a website? Sure, we found lots or those. Like I said, that was about a year ago and things may have changed since.
