As it says, i'm having a hard time finding something other than a fludyne and some slim fans for our cars (2gnt).

the one's I like the best so far are from punishment racing with the two slim fans

Talon/Eclipse radiator kit

But not for our car...

Not looking to break the bank right now as I have other things requiring my attention. Right now I'm seriously considering getting that radiator and fan combo and fabbing up piping for the lower coolant hose. Major problem is I have a LCIP there and my 3" dp goes past it as well.

I saw the ones on radiatorbarn.com, but they don't have the options you guys all got for the race version with the slim fan. Not sure where they went. I tried searching for the part number for the visteon 7022 radiator/fan combo without any luck of anyone ahving one.

What else do you guys have for me to try?
I fear my radiator is finally dead being since after switching my turbo to a BB water/oil cooled, my coolant is now leaking from somewhere other than any of my linesmeaning my radiator is finally dying.

Thanks

granted i am not running turbo, but i cant stop praising the radiatorbarn one. My temp gauge never comes close to reaching the first temp mark unless i am idling for a long time. Sure it isn't the race version, but depending on how much HP you are going to try and push would determine if you wanted to budget fix your radiator or break the bank going for an actual racing radiator

I would still with an OEM radiator. Why spend the money and then hack it up and make huge adjustments to try to make it fit? Does it have more cooling power than OEM? Maybe, but it can't be by much.

As for the slimlines, you can still mount them to the OEM radiator. I 2 setup as pusher-style (no A/C) between the FMIC and radiator. They're mounted on a bracket I ran across from right below the headlights. Works great.

We know alum rads cool and disperse heat better. I really want to get away fro the cheap plastic on the oem ones cause that's obviously where they fail. The alum ones look better, cool more efficiently, take up less space (depending on the one). The direction of my car is in need of better cooling. I've overlooked it for way too long. If you saw my mods list you'd understand. The stocker has been keeping things cool enough, but its an eye sore and between it and the two stock fans, which I never really use my ac anyways and have been contemplating taking it out, take up way too much space. It was rediculous that I had to remove half of that crap when I swapped turbos a month back. Now that I'm running a water/oil cooled turbo, I think I need to increase the cooler efficiency of my car. So maybe a thick half system would allow more of an opening for cool outside air in to keep temps down. My main concern is that the half system be able to keep things cool enough on a dd car and obviously not let too muh crap in my engine bay.
I'm thinking now to get the setup mentioned above being since i do plan on re-doing my IC piping this winter for a short routed setup and this will make room to custom make a stainless hardline for the lower pipe.
Still up for other ideas
