o thats just great! LOL well at least its geting most of the wireing out of the way. im curious if i could use the mega squirt to run the engine, while leaving part of the stock ecu in to run the transmission, im not to knowledgable about the wireing of our cars so i apoligize if that sounds like a completley idiodic statementLOL

I have MSnS The TCU controls you tranny not the ECU so yes you can still use it with an auto tranny. Really guys its not that hard to wire on the MS and there is a bunch of guys that can give you advice if you arent sure whats for what.

Your right but for most simply paying more to not have to worry about wiring is worth it. Why do you think more people run dsmlink vs AEM EMS when after a eprom ecu + dsmlink your at about $1k anyway ;)

edit: EMS is a bad example because the stock connectors plug into that unit too but you get the idea.

O yes Slippi I agree with you if I had the choice to get a pnp I would but bc it does take some time but I could not wait any longer to get my car running. So just saying that if thats the only thing from letting you start your car then it should not stop you.

im lost, so is the pnp out? i see a new MS system for the 420a, but it doesnt say that its the PNP? i though it was still pending testing by some members..?

pending testing by some members..?

Paul please verify LOL

On a side note... as soon as I get my damn injectors everything else is finally done so I'll be able to plug MS in and start tooning. I think I got scammed on my 880s I just bought.. and sadly it was a 4G63 guy. Bought them a month ago, nothing ever came, never a response to any emails. I will do a Paypal dispute, but for now I'm just buying another set.

Ya, get on that tooooooning. LOL
I saw that you posted in the PnP MS thread and I got excited cause I figured you had started tuning with it.
Thanks for getting my hopes up Chris.... wasted my time... Unbelieveable.
Heh, just kidding, sucks about the injectors though. Good luck with getting your money back.

The pre-production unit is being shuffled around. No solid testing on it yet, that I've heard of.

Keep an eye on Symtechlabs.com, I'm sure any news of official release (or things pending) will be noted there, first.

I will no longer be using the pre-release P&P unit... Won't work on my 95. I don't have the time anymore to bother trying to wire up some sort of adapter, so it's time to let someone else give it a shot. Maybe I'll head in the regular MSnS direction, or wait for the 95 style P&P if it's developed, not sure.

I will test it for you...;)

I don't quite understand how this ECU works. I have a 1995 Eclipse GS mostly stock and I am looking for HP gains. Will this fit my car?

I honestly don't see why everyone is waiting for this (no offense). Half the fun of ms is building it and installing yourself. I jumped into it head first with very little electronics/soldering experience. My dad is a electrical engineer and he wanted to assemble it for me but i didn't let him. When i was done i came out with extensive knowledge of tuning, wiring, soldering and efi.

I had issues with it, im not gonna say it went as smooth as butter.

I had to change the 420a configuration a bunch of times to get rid of tack spikes.

I removed a part i shouldn't have which kept killing the bank 1 injector driver

My soldering wasn't that great, the board sometimes didn't want to turn on, i had go over all the solder points and that fixed it.

I learned that crimping the living hell out of connections isn't good enough, solder all your connections !!!!

I also upgraded to MS2 with no issues, the car is running beautifully.

My point is give it a try, learn screw up fix it and have fun !!!!!

If you mess up with something like this you can mess up yoru engine that's not a risk that some people are willing to take.

As long as you dont do anything stupid you will be fine. Its hard to mess up a motor when you just cruising around town and when you start tuning boost you just pull your ignition timing WAY down till you get the AF ratio right and then add it back in. Its not that hard
