Please help, my gauge cluster won't light up.

The check engine light and abs lights all work on my car, just not the actual gauges. So night driving is not good. Any body have any ideas what it would be? I have checked the fuses, and tried to change the headlight switch.

Could simply be a burnt out bulb. Take the cluster out (2 screws for the cluster surround; the black part before the cluster itself) and 4 screws for the cluster, than pull it out and check

Yea, i have it all apart but there are a lot of bulbs back there and i don't think that all of them would blow at once. Always the possibility i'm wrong.

Well if memory serves me right, there are only 2 bulbs for each large dials (speedometer/rpm) maybe just one. They light up through a transparent plastic piece so those 2 could have gone out. Or simply were jarred loose. Give them some +/- and see which work.

Or you burned out your dimmer. To see, unplug dimmer and ground it's harness black-yellow wire - the lights should come on full.

I was going to say dimmer switch also. I had the same problem. The owners before me wired an alarm system in and screwed mine up. Only, the problem was it burnt a metal strip on the back of the cluster. I just put a strip of solder to fix it. Glad yours was easy.
