Hey everyone, longtime lurker and first time poster here. I'm getting ready to pass a bunch of wiring for gauges, fuel pump hardwire, etc. through my firewall. Based on some older threads I've found, near the engine harness on the passenger side is the best place to drill through and install a grommet. Not really looking to mess with the engine harness grommet as there's not much room to work with.

I've come up with two potential spots. The 1st spot is to the left of the AC evaporator. I prefer this spot. Although looking on the inside of the car there is a bulge in the black insulation that may be a wiring loom? Can anyone confirm or deny this? The 2nd spot is off to the right of the engine harness. this spot is a lot smaller and more visible, plus could be difficult to fish the wires to the inside considering the hvac box is in the way. I might just pull the dash out to make it all easier, but i'd like to hear what people have to say first

Has anyone used either of these spots and provide insight and photos? Or did you find a better spot? Any pictures or help is greatly appreciated!

You might be running more stuff than me, but I punched through the steering column boot for my WB harness and speedometer cable boot for boost gauge / fuel pump rewire / amp to avoid drilling the firewall.

Spot #1 is a no go LOL, I found out the hard way, I agree with others avoid drilling your firewall if possible, use the steering boot or some other grommet :thumb:
