over heating help me

Please help! I just bought the car with a brand new motor and all new parts. It ran fine for awhile then it blew a heater hose so i replace the hoses. i thought that was why it over heated but the next day it did it again and will not quit. when i park it pisses steam out of the overflow bottle. i have replace cap, tstat and rad. please help im lost

Replace your thermistat. It might be stuck shut, also flush out your cooling system with water (no point in putting antifreeze in it untill you know what the problem is)

i took the tstat completly out and it still did it. i aslo did the exhaust gas tester in the coolant

I would say head gasket if you kept driving after it overheated.Also your head could be warped now.good luck man.

Once you get it all figured out be sure to put Water Wetter into the coolant system when you have it fixed. It helps keep the heat down real well.

are the fans working properly? also if i am thinking correctly when you take the t-stat out completely the car would over heat because the coolant doesn't have anytime to be cooled down in the radiator, it just keep going through. also i don't know what temp t-stat you are using but the stocker is a 195deg. you might want to change to a 180deg. not that this will solve the problem but it does keep temps down a little.

I would start by feeling your radiator hoses to see if maybe your radiator is pluggged.

After that I would pull your cap off, start the car and see if its bubbling.


After that id check compression
