What I was thinking was the diff between the 1G and the 2G.. Ok the 1G came off the line stock with 195 BHP Then the 2G came 210 BHP but what I don't get is where does the extra power comes from since the 2G has a smaller Turbo T25 and the Head has smaller Ports and I was told the 2G stock Exhaust was more restrictive then the 1G .. So is it Cams ? or the ECM ?? or Injectors ??

The 2g came with a bigger intercooler (inlet/outlet), charge pipes, and TB elbow along with slightly higher compression. The exhaust mani. is better and 1-2 more psi. There is power found in simply swapping stock parts within the two cars if you want to keep the stock look.

1G - 7.8:1 CR, bigger ports on the head, 14B/13G, ???, 390cc
2G - 8.5:1 CR, smaller ports on the head, T-25, 11 psi stock, 450cc
It would seem the 1g has the higher advantage but I guess the CR and as Steve said, the amount of boost as well might have something to do with it.

no 1g autos came with 390s... 1g manuals came with 450s in them... It is a simple answer. More Boost= more power, More compression= more power.... All the other things that were revised add tooo, but the two i stated are the main power makers.

Smaller runners equal a faster velocity of the air that is entering which in part increases low end power... That is all.. So the 2g has a lower power band then the 1g...

Well smaller ports doesn't necessarily mean less power... but the 2g does have a smaller turbo but running a little but more boost make up for the airflow lost... the 2g also has higher compression to make more power, and the 2g exhaust manifold flows more

No first generation TEL autos came with 390cc injectors while the first gen(for short) manuals came with 450cc injectors stock. It is a simple answer. More pressure in the intake manifold means more power, while higher compression pistons also bring more power out of an engine. All the other things that were revised add power as well, but the two I stated are the main power makers in this situation.

Smaller runners equal a faster velocity of the air that is entering which in part increases low end power/ torque. The bigger/longer the runners help for top end power/ horsepower. So the 2g has a lower power band then the 1g...

Yea !!! Thank you guys for your time .. I understand alot more of the diffrences between the 2 cars ..

You are very right on injector sizing.
One more difference between 1g autos and 2g's are that the 1g's auto came with slightly smaller cams to make more low end tourque..The 2g's all came with th same cams.. And the 5spd 1g's came with a better ecu than the auto's did. That's why you see so many people swapping in a 5psd ecu into the auto's..

Pretty much everything has already been said. I would like to add that the 2g was designed much better. The intercooler, TB elbow, intake, head, exhaust manifold were all more designed for velocity rather than giant ports like the 1g. The 2g also had higher compression pistons (8.5:1 compared to 1g's 7.8:1) which helped as well as smaller rods than 1g's to cut weight on the rotating assembly. Coupled with the higher boost (1g - 7-9lbs vs. 2g - 10-12lbs) will add a little more power. Once modded, the changes really begin to show face.
