My whip is a ballbreaker for tuning. Minor mods and a 16 were easy to dial not this one. First off specs.
gt30r at 10 psi, 650 inj, 190 pump,TMO ecu, safc good plugs wires FMIC 3inch ex

So I cant get her tuned in The ecu kicks but all my afc settings are close to zero Low is -1 and high is +3

Anyway she doesnt run right in 1st gear and I am still being easy on it but for the record
egts at cruise are 1200 in boost around 5.5k 1450 steady.

So in 3rd gear from 3k to 5.5k
timing is 22 no knock and my trims are low 102 mid 117 and high 107.
a 4th gear run nets the same results yet timing is at 24
at idle timing is at 9

My trim mid has been 117 for a month wont move for nothin. I have since set my th pints on the safc from 20/80 to 30/70 and now its at 40/60. She seems to run okay with the exception of first gear. It just isnt that impressive right now what woiuld you do if your ride was doing this. Should I set the boost to my target boost of 20 and try some more? Redo timing? The 1st gear thing it seems to hit a stutterbox at like 4500 when i stand on it out of the hole. I can three quarter throttle right through with no probs. My ecu is set for a stutterbox but my clutch wire isnt hooked up yet. I doubt thats the prob but it has me thinking. So what do you think?

Maybe the fuel pump isnt large enough im not sure. How is the timing too high? does everything seem ok or what? I have seen timing in the 15-16 region and run good thats why I thought mine was a tad on the high side. Anybody?

Your timing is good as long as you do not have Knock. If you can get away with 24 @ WOT then you're o.k. You need to get your boost dialed in better. I would start tuning with it @ 15 psi. And you really should get a wideband, they help out A LOT!!!

Cool I was thinking my timing was too far advanced. I was trying to get it to a dyno to save myself on getting a wideband but its looking more like its inevitable. After this little spout of rain we are gonna get I wil turn her up to 15 and see what I get. Thanks P

You dont even wanna know! The stage 3 ecu is dialed in pretty good for the 650s and 2g mas. Now since the settings were around 1 and o on the logger timing wasnt being puled. Now that the weather is colder I am at the + 10 mark so I might need to richen up the 2g mas to get her evened out again. Anyway it was cutting out in first gear well a few days later my coil pack shit the bed. So a new one took away all the cutout and she was runnin real good. Edit that after the coil pack I reset my ecu and the trims were High 101 mid 98 and low 99. Thats when it was running spectacular. So I upped the boost And it was hitting 16 and dropping right off to 11. I thought I had a 17lb wastegate but apparently not. Anyway Went right from the intake mani and blocked off the other lines and she seen a solid 11. My trims are back at 119 high 117 mid and 113 low. . So I am in the process of getting a 17lb wastegate and Getting a fitting to fit a 4 inch intake for boost leak. So she sits for now with no real answers to my original question. I am just gonna let her sit for a week while I put a tranny in the old ladys talon. AT trannys are heavy! Sorry I couldnt be of any help GSX but I will definately post back if I and when I find out what I am doing wrong here. Will prolly be a few weeks but if you come acros anything hit me up. P
