hey guys.. i reasearched this thread and found somewhat of an answer. im just curious to see if this sounds right. i have a 97 gst. and went to the dyno to get it tuned yesterday with my new dsmlink. which by the way is the greatest thing ever alive LOL. well i dynoed only 250hp and 243tq at about 19 to 20 psi on pump gas. here are my mods

evo 3 big 16g
evo 3 exhaust manifold ported
evo 3 o2 housing
apex turbo back(resignator replaced with a pipe)
injen intake
Greddy XL FMIC kit with greddy type s BOV
Fp2 cams with crower valve springs and retainers.
fidanza adjustible cam gears set to: exhaust cam retarded 3 drgrees and intake 1 degree advanced

Its was done on a mustang dyno... just doesnt seem right to me... if anyone would mind letting me know what you think i would appreciate it.. thanks guys

Yeah, those logs were pointless as there was no TPS logged... besides you never took it past 3000 rpm's... Thats like... Shep's idle! :p

Post WOT!

Doesn't look too bad. No knock. You should start your 3rd gear pull a lot lower though. You should try to start around 2k and go until redline.

You do need to adjust your properties. Go to Display > Values, click on each item in the right box, and click the Props button. Make sure they all contain correct settings (altitude, injector settings, tire size, etc.). Make sure to check the little box "Save for future captures."

You need to adjust your TPS a bit.

Can't really do much more because of no wideband. Make sure you've done your fuel trims correctly.

hey.. whats up man... ya its not a bad tune.. he did my MAF and all that... he told me if i wanted to i could just go in a add 1* of timing here or there on my own to see what i get.. but i dont know how to acess the map.. do i just hit load from ECU to get the map up?? and as far as adjusting the TPS goes could i just use my snap-on scanner? thats how i did it before.. it comes up with volts.. i set it to 0.4 volts... that is what alldata said.. but i should adjust it according to WIKI right?? and ya.. im tryin to get my wideband but christmas is breaking my wallet hahaha.. thanks again guys.. any more info would be nice...

and.. has anyone ever had to do a spring mod to your 16g wastegate?? Sean at fftec said my boost flutters.. and that would help.. or could long vacume lines be the issue? i mounted my MBC below my coolant overflow do to the cops... and the lines are very long.. maybe this is causing unstable boost?

ok.. ill try setting the tps tommrrow.. and same with adding some timing until i see some knock.. according to alot of people i should be able to get 15* of timing shouldnt i.. i know every car i different though.. so we will see what happenes i guess.. would it be bad to add timing just from like say 6000 rpms up? cause i was seein knock on the dyno at like 5500.. took 1* away from 4000 up an no knockWTF add 1* and we saw around like 2.8 to 3* of knock :notgood: could my car really be THAT sensative? thanks man.. i promise when i get it all settled i wont bother anymore hahaha...

Eric

Yes, you should be able to get at least 15* of timing. I don't see the point in adding timing from 6k unless you plan on running the car that high a lot. Yes, it might help if you don't get knock, but you don't want to have timing jump. The rule I use when tuning is that timing should be within 3* of the two sliders on either side of the one you're adjusting.

DSMlink doesn't read knock count, but reads knock retard.

oh i see... ya i wasnt planning on upping the timing more than 1 or 2* at the most.. ill play with it and post a log tommrrow ok.. letting you guys know more about what i can get out of it... thanks alot for all your help man... results tommrow guys..:D
