I've heard rumors that dsmlink (older ones like v2) still have some type of "fuel cut" parameter built in related to maf overrun. I was wondering if anyone has any solid facts or experiences with this.

The fuel cut parameters you're referring to was removed when the stock EPROM was replaced. If you're getting MAF overrun then you use the FakeMAF feature in V2 and set the switch over point a few Hz before the MAF overruns.
