Okay simple intake / turbo question

So I am looking at some intakes and thinking for my talon TSI all I need is to get a K&N filter and the little attachment. This way I don't need to hook it up to a ram intake or something. But then I am looking and I see that on the ram intake it has a hose I think that is supposed to go to the turbo. So what do I do or should I go with?

ummmm...I think the "hose" you may be refering to is the dump tube for the BOV. If you have a specific product in mind then post a link to it.

As far as intakes...that is different from getting JUST a filter and a little attachment. The intake replaces the accordian tube that attaches to the turbo.
