Very simple Cold Air Intake Question

Hey, I have yet, another dumb-found question for you guys.
I just bought a cold air intake for my 93 Talon. Keep in mind, this talon im working on is just an ES, my Turbo sits for now
I hooked it up, everything was fine, until i started the motor, it fires up, and dies immediately. I know it';s because the sensor isn't reading, because it's obviously disconnected.
What do i need to do to by-pass this sensor?

No, it's all stock. Just whatever the car came with.

I dont think you can bypass the maf sensor.

You cannot bypass the sensor. It needs to be where it was in the first place. The MAF sensor is there to meter the air coming into the engine. The signal is sent to the computer which then calculates the correct amount of fuel to inject. The only way to get rid of the sensor on the intake pipe is to either put in a GM MAF or go speed density (AEM EMS).
