AEM Cold Air Intake Question

Hey guys I just purchased an AEM cold air intake system for my '99 Eclipse Spyder GS, and I ran into a bit of a problem. I cannot figure out how to attach the O2 Sensor to it. DO I have to buy an aftermarket O2 sensor or is there some way to modify the stock O2 sensor to fit it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Before you get bashed. I'll be gentle. It a maf. Mass air flow sensor. U need to buy an adaptor if it's the the 4g63 engine.. I'm not familiar with the 420a. U can tell what engine you have by seeing what side the piping for Intake is on. Driver side is 420a. Pass side is 4g63

Aem doesnt make one for the spyder 4g64. Only the 420a.... and the 420a doesny have any sensors that plug into the intake tube. Ive had mine for years.

Since you said your car is a GS I assume its a 2.4L 4G64 engine. You should have the same mass air flow sensor as the turbo cars.
If you bought a car specific intake then it should come with all the needed parts to install it, if not then you will need few adapters to get it done. For the filter side you will need to buy this adapter. Go to that link below and you will see what I'm talking about. Depending on the actual size of your intake pipe and this adapter piece that I'm talking about you might also need a 4" to 3" reducer coupler.

Now for the back side of the mass air flow sensor I think you will also need a 4"-3" reducer coupler. If I remember correctly you can fit a 4" hose on the back (oval) side of the sensor. Assuming that your intake pipe is 3" then you would just run your intake pipe in to the 3" side of the coupler.
Basically you will have the sensor roughly in the same spot where it is right now but with with 3" pipe running to it and 3" pipe running out of it going down to the filer.
Looking at the pictures of 2.4L engine honestly I don't thing there will be much gain from switching to an aluminum pipe from the stock plastic one between the sensor and the motor. Aluminum pipe will soak up more heat then the plastic pipe will therefore defeating the purpose of a cold air intake, but getting rid of your filter box and running a 3" pipe with the adapter and the reducer coupler to a nice filter should do some justice.
