Ok, here is the deal. I had been tracking down a massive oil leak for a long time, and I finally found it. When the engine builder (me) put the timing cover on i used a bolt that was a little bit too long, that bolt just happened to be the one that went directly into the OFH, and it cracked, causing the monster oil leak.
My question is, this engine has no b-shafts, and DOES have oil squirters. On the old OFH, oil pressure was exactly as it should have been. Around 100psi on a cold start, and then it went down to about 10-12psi at full operating temp.
Now, I have ordered a new OFH from Extremepsi and I was wondering if I should just Install it and hope for the best, because the car had normal oil pressure before, or will this new part more than likely cause the oil pressure to skyrocket because the leak that was going on was letting some of the pressure escape?
