I just wanted to make a thread on this concerning the oil pump nut and how some people have that nut come loose. So think of the belt and consequently, the oil pump sprocket shaft nut spinning in a clockwise rotation. Any resistance applied to the nut from spinning would in theory cause it to loosen up.

I seriously doubt this is THE problem but just wanted to make people aware I guess. The timing belt cover was properly fastened [as in] using the correct length bolts and used all the bolt hold down points.

Even with those conditions met, my brand new OEM craptastic timing cover still rubbed on the nut. Nothing a little dremeling won't cure, but this -plus being warped brand new causing belt wear and paying an insane amount of money? Is. Ridiculous.
