When I start my car, the oil pressure goes to about the middle of the stock guage. After sitting for a while at idle, it drops down to the L on the guage. Then when i start driving it, it goes back up to normal. Whenever i stop at a light or something, it drops back down. Is it the oil pump or something else?

ok, but it goes down to the "L" on the guage. So im shouldnt worry about it?

Yes, that is normal. Cold engine oil has a high viscosity, so it will be 'thicker' and will in turn yield a higher oil pressure. As it warms up, it's viscosity lowers, allowing the pressure to lower. And the oil pump is driven off the crank, so it's output volume/pressure will be completely dependent of RPM. Completely normal.

+1 get a aftermarket gauge, and get a elec. unit for greater accuracy
