oil pressure rising????

so i installed the shiftglow electronic oil pressure gauge about a month ago and when im on the road 2700-3000 my oil pressure is fine 50-60psi but whe im at a stop and just ideling my pressure sits at like 49psi... when i first had this installed it was at about 10psi then went to 20psi like a week later (i was told thats normal running psi) then as time goes by it went to 30 and now im at hight 40s is there a reason this is happening? bad wiring posibly?

Did you change your oil weight when changing oil? This could cause the rise on oil pressure (heavier weight).
I doubt the oil pump could be at fault, these pumps are known to be pretty reliable.

Maybe the relief valve was stuck open before?
