Oil pressure

Ok guys did a balance shaft removal kit and a fresh rebuild havnt even driven the car yet and I let the car run for the first time today and white smoke is coming out in large amounts ideling also the car's stock oil pressure gauge is not working, yes i have all wires hooked up i also have a new 16g turbo. What could cause the white smoke for one and then the zero oil pressure read out. Side not i honestly have no idea if it was working before i got the car i bought it with a blown engine.

White smoke can be alot sence it's been sitting for awhile such as condensation or just crap burning off. I would check oil pressure sending unit let it idle for a few check for oil leaks. Oil should peek on cold starts so you should notice is go up.
