oil pressure light come on during hard brake

I have this weird issue in my dsm.. i dont know if its really a "problem", but whenever I immediately step slightly hard on my break, sometimes my oil pressure light comes on for about a few seconds then goes away... is there a possible explanation for this?

Low oil level/ idle set to low/ oil pressure switch starting to take a dump.

yea, mine has only done that the time that i had an oil cooler line come loose and i had to fix it in the middle of no where and didn't have enough oil in it on the way to the nearest store.. i was 2 1/2 quarts low

even when my guage sending unit went out teh light never came on, the guage just read zero pressure

oil level is perfectly fine for the past 2 months I've owned it, just about a little below the second tick on the dipstick, doesn't burn oil or anything..

as for the idle.. i dont think that's it either since my idle stays fine at 1100ish, no surges, and the oil pressure light doesn't come on when the car is parked or idled.. whether its warm or cold..

if it was the switch, how come it only does it when i'm doing a hard brake though? Oh and I forgot to mention that sometimes it does it too when I do an immediate sharp left turn

Check the connection to the sensor. These (this and the oil pressure sending unit) connectors have been known to come loose and/or break.

I would recommend replacing the low oil pressure sensor and check to see if the wires are good... Maybe spending some money on a real oil pressure gauge and seeing if it dips.. Check your oil for any silver metal too.

My oil pressure light will come on under hard brakeing as well and in my case it is because my lower I.C. piping is very close to the back of the sending unit and when my engine shifts slightly forward the back of the sensor hits the pipe grounding it and causing the light to come on.
