Oil filter bypass valve

I have decided that my latest engine falure could have been prevented (all rod/main bearings dead) with an oil filter that acually filtered the metal from my balance shaft bearing failure. I did a bse and oil pump and changed oil 3 times but the damage was done and showed up 2 weeks later. My question is: is there an oil filter with a high psi bypass spring or no bypass valve at all? I have read that some Napa gold have no BPV but most of them do. Has anyone chopped up oil filters and tested BPV spring pressure?

Lol, I read that article a few days ago. It is very descriptive but I was looking for an answer to the wrong question. I was under the. Impression that the bypass was open if oil pressure was over just a few psi but the entire filter is under pressure so the bypass is closed unless there is a differential on pressure (clogged element). When I opened my filter I found enough glitter to kill 100 engines so the element clogged and bypassed. So now I realize I just need to use a big high quality filter so I went with napa gold/wix for a 1990.
