If you want to take a short drive to Syracuse, we could tune it for you if you'd like. If all of the problems the car had last time we saw it were properly fixed, this car should MOVE!

Fans wired, Exhaust leaks fixed, spark plugs and wires replaced.. not sure what else needs to be done. Car seems extremly clean to me other then what I took care of already:hellyeah:

Well a "stockish" 5.slow will run low 13's with a good driver. Thats calling bolt on's stockish and assuming no bottle hidden on the car. Dad's built car however may pose a larger problem. Biggest disadvantage for him is the rear gear set. Those are MPG sets, not ET sets. I would be more worried if he had like a 3.90 rear or a 4.10 rear set. Those will MPH like crazy with good low end tq. Again it all comes down to the drivers. Between you and your dad and brother, you will ###### beat the brother, you may be a close race with dad. If he has a fresh setup and no seat time, it may tip the scales in your favor. Dont only tune your engine, but setup your suspension properly and get decent tires. Both tires and suspension play into effect about as much as your engines tune. GL, and hope to hear some good kill stories come summer.

As for the mustang ET, im basing it on my personal pulls with my buddies 99 5.0 I was making 13.01 passes in it on a 70* day at GLD near chicago. Not sure of the DA off hand or the MPH to be honest. But I remember 13.01 cause I was determined to hit 12.9XX and never did.

The prev owner of my car said that when he had a 20g with a 3in air intake and 950cc injectors, hks ssqv bov uncirculated he ran 11.8 in 1/4. now there is a holset hx35 with 4in intake and 1050cc injectors the hks is now recirculated and my tires are General Exclaim ZR rated with 95% thread left. and i have Tien fully adjustable coilovers..:hellyeah: I wont know untill the summer what my numbers will be. Honistly I have no idea what to even expect

P.s He says he plans on going with 373 gears next summer

You should beat them no prob if you have it tuned and running at a minimum 25Psi. That turbo needs to see atleast 25psi before it really comes alive.

recently just picked up a 97 talon awd from a 44 yr old guy that bought the car brand new in 96..... super clean car and 130k on the clock.... mods so far shep stage 1 trans, act2100, extreme upper ic piping with 1g bov, K and N filter, apexi 3" exhaust, tanable coilovers and rota slips. everything else is stock..... i wanna make 300- 350 to the wheels and i was wondering how i would complete this goal....i will be getting dsmlink soon

A gazliilion.2

This belongs in the bench racing thread; the only place we allow such silliness.

Damnit!!! I had a good reply in that thread!!!! Now its gone :( sad panda..

lilsam Realistically probably around 620-640 based on the one profile I looked at with similar mods. The limiting factor will be your BEP .55 housing. Youll coke up top. Check out the dyno challenge for similar set ups..

Thanks crash my goal will be real close to 600. The housing I got more people saying to run the .55 not the .70 because of better spool time. Sorry mods that was the beat place I could find to put it on tapatalk :)

Realistically, between 100 and 700 hp. There is a big difference between what a build will support, and what it "should be seeing".

Right now I would say his limiting factor is going to be the head gasket, since he didn't list one. :)

Well I'm looking for a rough power estimate of a car I recently purchased. I'm not sure of all of the mods, so I'll just tell you what I know about it.

1997 TSi AWD
4G64 Engine
Eagle Rods
Wiseco Pistons
272 Cams
BC Springs and Retainers
Big 16G Turbo
880cc Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
DSMLinkv2

Theres some other stuff too, but this is just off the top of my head. Normally I wouldn't have bought a car thats been modded this much, but I got it for a good price, thanks.

I'm running an Fp red on my 6 bolt awd, with pump gas. Going to be about 24-26 psi when I get it tuned by ams's Chris black. I'm just curious on what numbers I'm looking for? I'm hoping 400 but expecting 370 ish
