Mines a 3rd gen weighted. Looks alot like the Evo knob, but mines cut down a bit because theyre awkwardly tall.

Sure! itll have to wait until the morning though. My cars in the garage at my apartment, and im in bed.

Awesome I might look around for the specs on the weight of those for reference. Unless you already know or have a scale to find out...

I have a scale at work that can measure grams (I work for the American Red Cross jabbing needles all day)
ill hang it from a scale and see what this bad larry weighs

Sounds good, incase people don't like this OEM knob, they might like yours and buy it. Also post link where you bought it! ^.^

Nathan yeah it's still $50.¢¢

I think I'll know what to get my self for Xmas xD

Thanks for the pic Nickel. I see the resemblance to the Evo knob, except that one's a tad longer. Almost exactly the same look as the Evo8 knob.

It's just nick LOL
That's a close up, it doesn't look as weird sitting in the drivers seat.
I'll weigh it tomorrow at work

I was at the car meets the other day and OMG... The Evo 8 OEM knob is tiny AF!!!!

Just FYI i was wondering around the local junk yards and figured out all the 2001+ Mitsubishi's with a 5 speed have the weighted knob. i picked me up a couple why i was there, just saying.

Finally got my OEM Weighted Shift knob from a fellow DSM'er who was parting out a few items.

Decided to take a few pictures. When I got the box it weighted a lot... LOL ROFL

I opened the box and my arm got pulled down :p

I got my old knob I pulled from a Miata ** basically the same size as the OEM Eclipse ones ** and compared sizes.

How big it is compared to the OEM rubber knobs.

Just got it today / a few moment ago, so not sure how shifting feels yet! ;D

Hope this contributes to your page Nathan! :dsm:

Nice Arnie, is that the knob you PMed me about? The guy that was selling a knob that came from Strictly Modified?

I'm not totally convinced it's the OEM shifter but that's probably just because it looks a bit worn :idontknow:
