ok here is my senario... i drove from NJ to virgina and when i got off 81 to get gas it was insanely hard to change gears. i litterally had to force it to go into other gears... have no idea what it could be... possibly somethng with my shift linkage? any ideas or answers would be greatly appriciated as in im coming back to Jersey tomorrow night

Your bell housing bolts backing out possibly. Maybe a leak in the hydraulics somewhere.

Possible catastrophic throw-out bearing failure. That happened to me once.

I've had the problem happen to me twice now. Once was the bell housing bolts simply backing out. The 2nd time was the bell housing breaking from all the spider cracks it had in it, so nothing was holding the tranny in except for the tranny mount and the bottom 2 bell housing bolts. Sure yours isn't as bad as that though. But ya may wanna check the bolts and make sure they're tight and if they're backing out, get ya some loctite.

Mine has done this twice, once in 2nd when i shifted really hard, it just stuck and i had to wrestle it out and payed no mind afterwards. The other i was going to the track in kansas city and it stuck to where i couldn't use 4th (wouldn't go in) It turned out to be the bolts holding the shifter cable mount to the tranny housing. I tightened those on the side of the road with a 12mm shallow socket and went the last 250 miles to race and drove home. never had a problem since. But i just got a new trans last week.. That was my best track day too, I went 12.08 @117mph spinning one slick all the way through 2nd gear on 19 psi :D

well i made it home from VA by forcing it to shift intill i got onto 81 and stayed in 5th all the way back to Jersey. what i noticed as i was driving home and thinking of all possibility's, i would slowly start to engage the clutch and as i would start to push the clutch petal down it wouldnt start to engage intill about half way down or possibly 75% of the way down then it would start to grab but still wouldnt shift at all.. then i pumped the clutch petal a couple of times and it then started to grab a lot higher, but still the same result..
