So im in the process of a 14b swap on my 95 talon.

When I removed the old o2 sensor on the 14b's o2 housing(which was a giant PITA even with a torch and my giant self trying to remove it), it came out with mauled threads, which is why it was such a pain.

I now how a few options.

1. Just be a dick and thread in my pristine new o2 sensor and hope for the best.

2. Replace the O2 housing

3. Thread chase/re-tap it and hope for the best.

I want to do #3, but i have no clue what the thread size is for an O2 sensor.

Anyone know it?

Any other suggestions?

Its all bolted up in the car, and I ported it. So there's time invested.

I do have a 2g from the t25.

Hmmm.

Knowing that thread size would be a determining factor.

Carefull buying the evo o2 housing the angle is different then most downpipes.

Yep this is true! The evo housing has a different angle then a 2g. But as for the problem, I would just buy a different housing and call it done. You are going to just invest more time trying to fix you current one, when a good used one could be purchased for so cheap!

Should be able to find a used stock 2g o2 housing or check local dsm shop I am sure they have one.Plus all stock 2g exhaust manifolds and o2 housing can handle some power.:thumb:

Interesting.

I would still like to know what thread size an o2 sensor is if anybody knows it.

Maybe i should call an exhaust shop or something.

Or if you have a tap and die set, it usually has a set of thread finders in it. If you don't, then take the housing with the good threads to a hardware store and just find a bolt that fits. Then buy that size tap!
