so i have a 97 gst with 73k miles.
when im in 1st 2nd or sometimes 3rd gear and i step on the clutch the cars kinda slows down and sometimes jerk a tiny bit. and whenever i shift into any gear the stick shift is kinda notchy and it makes a sound on the outside of the car and it is hard to shift fast cause of the notchyness. i step on the cutch ALL the way in and the transmission fluid is change at 60k

what do you suggest is wrong with the car? any tips or info about his. is it normal.

i think im gonna buy some shifter bushing and underhood bushing and a shortshifter and see how it goes but cant do it before i get out of high school. need financial aid money

no one have this problem? your gear box shifts smoothy with no notches and no sounds? and is reverse a lil harder to get into?

my reverse grinds 9 times out of 10. I hate it.
My transmission is notchy as hell also. I just go slow and make sure I'm being deliberate when my gear changes, cause the more I "####y-foot" around the gear the more likely it will grind or do something else f'ed up.

I'm gonna try some pennzoil synchro stuff and see if it helps any.

yeah, I've heard synchro mesh do miracles on some cars, well maybe not miracles, but 75% chance of a night and day diff. suppose to adhere to synchros lubricating them better than tranny oil, maybe it's a heavier weight, I don't know exactly, just from what I read.
