clutch and shifting question

hey guys.


when im driving my 93 n/t talon it's not really smooth into the gears, but recently i've noticed that if i let the clutch up maybe about an inch or two off the floor right before i move the stick into gear it slips in smooth as butter, but when i shift with the clutch pedal on the floor it's not nearly as smooth. it seems like if i put some solid object underneath the clutch or made the pedal thicker it would make shifting so much smoother, is this something i can adjust? does anybody else notice this about their shifting?

hmmmm that sounds weird. You might want to check your clutch line fluid (break fluid) maybe its a little low because of a leak? Or maybe you just have really worn syncros. How many miles are on the tranny?

im the third owner, there are 117,000 miles on the car, i think it's the original transmission but who knows

I use GM syncro-mesh fluid in my tranny and it makes a world of difference in my shifting.

i have penzoil synchromesh and yeah it works pretty good, but i would like to know why my clutch acts like that and if there is a way to adjust it.
