I have a 23 spline tranny in my car because its a 92. I am looking for a new clutch, and they all say like 90-99 or whatever that applies to my year and they only say 20spline. Can someone explain this for me?

The clutch doesn't depend on the splines at all. Any DSM clutch from 90-99 will bolt up to an AWD or FWD flywheel. The flywheel is the only difference.

Splines are the amount of teeth on a shaft. What you mean by 23 splines to is the number of teeth on your output shaft (the one that goes to your transfer case). Most of the 1gs (mid 91-94), and all of the 2g AWDs all had 23 spline output shafts and transfer cases.
