I have a 91 eagle talon tsi awd. New starter, battery, spark plugs, wires. Has been sitting for a couple months. I would start it every couple weeks and drive it around the block, letting it warm up, brake a few times, take it up to wot, then have it cool down, and park it. One veryyyyy cold night, I tried starting it to no avail. It didn't crank, just a click from what I would find out later to be the starter. I've checked the clutch safety switch and it works fine. When I don't press in the clutch, there is no sound coming from the starter, and when I do, the one click is evident. I asked some people, read all the no start threads from dsmtuners and dsmtalk, as well as took recommendations from several dsm Facebook pages. What many have told me and based on what I read is that I should jump the starter by connecting the positive with the positive, bypassing the relay. Well, I did that and I hear a click and a whirring sound. I did this when the key ignition was not in and when it was in and turned to the on position. So any other suggestions? My timing belt looks fine and it was running absolutely fine before. I'm really worried and completely frustrated by the whole thing. Please help.
