Hey guys... I'm a new DSMer (sort of) I have a 1g 92 6/4 that suffered valve train damage just from a a timing jump from me starting it and leaving a 1/2'' ratchet in the crank pulley :nono: it managed to get caught and caused the timing to jump .

Prior to this the vehicle clutch was inoperable I could not push the clutch in after bleeding it and changing the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. This is how I recieved the car. It started up before replacing the clutch while in the midst of things the TOB was practically useless something I've never seen before.

After all that trouble of tending to these problems I swap the motor and it still wont start !
I started to lose hope in this car my first turbo 4wd car I've checked : cas sensor by spinning it and simultaneously watching the injectors shoot fuel into the air, the cam gear notches alignment, physically grounding spark plugs and seeing the bright electrical arc .

I even replaced the ecu with signs of capacitor leakage and recently I pulled off the cylinder head to find that my replacement motor #4 combustion chamber exhaust valve is broken mean while #1 has a slight indentation on the pistons intake side, which concludes me to say that the timing was off. I need some opinions also to see if it acutally is this causing a no start I'm just glad in didnt start up like this.

I just want to drive the car to school and this problem is getting old now I just want her to start up for me for the time being. I 'm current replacing all timing belt components & cylinder head and I use an OEM service manual.

I've never driven this car once.

Buy a gasket scraping tool, they work great for this. You can get one at Autozone for cheap. Just be sure not to get any shavings into the oil holes.

Some gasket remover will work wonders. Comes in a aerosol can. That and a gasket scraper. I used one this week actually to do the head on my girlfriend's car. You can use it on the head too and all the other fun parts that need the gasket scraped off. My scraped got a little dull as the day progressed, so I had to get a new one. Probably could've sharpened it, but buying one was faster and lazier. :thumb:
Be sure to stuff rags or something in the holes to keep all the gunk outta there.
