ok so here is the problem. my car has absolutley no power, accessories, headlights, nothing.

two weeks ago the car drove fine no problems. this past week i didnt drive it at all until i could get to this small tranny leak. now today i go to start the car and nothing. now keep in mind i didnt touch the car at all this past week. i dont have any clue what the problem is. i checked the battery, cleaned the terminals, tried to jump it and still get no power. any help would be great. thanks

you checked the battery and it was still good? how many volts did it show? did you actually take the battery cables off and put them on again? I would just try a new battery and make sure you have a good connection from both terminals.

Did you check fuses? There is an 80A (black) Alternator fuse in the main fuse/relay box under the hood. When these go, so do all of your accessories. If it's bad, be careful when removing it -- it's screwed in at the bottom, unlike any of the other fusibles.

Be sure to use your new multimeter to verify volt/no volt conditions. Be it a connection or a fuse. It might save you a bunch of time and heart ache.

check your ground sounds like there maybe a bad connection...if the 80 fuse blows the car still cranks up and runs, the alternator is like a generator for the car... i had that happen one time and couldnt figure out why everything just cut off (interior lights and all)soon as the car shut off. But would crank up and everything would work till i checked my fuse and saw it was blown.

used the multimeter today and got nothing from the battery. ill get a new one tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem. thanks guys

if the new battery doesnt work, in the same fuse box as the 80amp fuse their is an alt relay, mine was shot when i first bought my car from the a ground hitting a power...and it was the same symptoms,
