:banghead:ok so i have a 90 talon tsi awd when i got it didnt run no spark so ive replaced coil packs, plug wires and plugs still no spark any suggestion and yes i gapped the plugs. any suggestion would be great:pray:

MAybe your ecu is fried, check for loose wiring, our cars are old and wirs do break, you would be surprised of the wiring issues you may find, Transistor pack?

If you've replaced those parts and you're still not getting spark then it has to be the power transistor.

Does the fuel pump turn on when you crank? It could also the the MPI relay which is under the dash near the ECU. I had that go out on two cars. Swapped it out and fired right up. On one of them the pump did turn on with the check wire but would not fire the spark. I would check that as well.

if the check engine light dosent come on when you put the key to the ''ON'' position then its either the ECU or the MPI relay next to the ECU or any fuses related to that, if it does come on at the ''ON'' position then check the CAS,Power transistor,Coil pack,Wires,Plugs if you still dont get spark check the voltage at the CAS with a voltmeter, you should get 12V at the red wire,5V at the white and black one, the other black wire next to the red is a ground so no voltage there, hope this helps

The CAS on a 1g controls both spark and fuel. If you don't have spark AND fuel check the CAS. If you have fuel it's not the CAS.

Power transitor could be your next one to check. After that ECU. If that all checks out it's going to be in wiring really.

ok so i have fuel checked that when i first got. i have no cel when i turn my key to the on position. how would i check my ecu and mpi relay

where is power transistor and how do i test it

Check the mpi fuse at the battery it blows somtines, open the ecu and inspect it its behind the radio, just get in there and pull it out with tools of course not that hard at all.

Pull the ecu. She needs a rebuild/replacement.

The power transistor is rite under the coil pack

It's bolted to the block

so it smells like fish ive read this is bad do i need to repace or can i fix it

Leaking capacitors will smell like rotten eggs, so, that might be what is going on there, when mine went out, I replaced the whole unit, but there are places online that rebuild them, the choice is yours.
