ok so im getting straight to the point. ive sent my 91 tsi fwd ecu to get rebuilt twice now and still no spark. the techs warned me bout its burnt caps and suggested i check my isc motor because it could be blowing the caps. to get my car running i cut what i think is the #13 wire on the ecu (one of the wires that splits in two from the fuel injection relay) and grounded it myself. once done the car runs great, idle and everything. correct me if im wrong but i figure its not the isc. the problem is that with the wire grounded, my car battery dies because of the constant power flow ( without key in ignition). the only thing i can think is causing this is something that doesnt affect the way the car runs, like the ignition switch for example. thats all i got for now so i hope this can help a fellow dsmer an idea of what could be causing this annoying problem.
