To everyone who is crying about people not running cat. converters, have you ever considered how much pollution is made in mining the material used in the catalytic converter? I do not have a degree in engineering, but I do know that rare elements are used inside of catalytic converters. I would assume it takes a lot of mining to get the materials used in catalytic converters. The mining equipment puts more pollution into the air, making the problem even worse. Now I'm not saying that we shouldn't run cats on cars, I'm sure they do a lot to help emissions. However, don't cry about 1% of enthusiast car owners that decide to run without a cat. It isn't going to end the world, NYC isn't going to be covered by an ocean. I wish everyone would calm down with this environmental stuff and realize we can't change the planet. It's going to do what it's going to do.
