Like the title says I cannot get my automatic transmission to shift into 1st gear. I've tried shifting the gear selector to L with the tcu in control and I've tried with my Forced Four shift box.
Every time I try with the shift box it will indicate that it is in 1st gear when it is in fact still in 2nd and it does the same when in L with the tcu in control.
The only time it will actually take off in 1st gear is if I shift the gear selector into Drive with the tcu in control starting from a dead stop at WOT.
The only tcu code I've been able to pull is #22 which is for the kickdown servo switch. Could this switch being bad cause the transmission to not shift into 1st? I've searched and I haven't been able to find anyone else who has experienced this.
Also I've double, triple and quadruple checked the wiring for the shift box, tcu and transmission and it all seems to be intact. I've spent the better part of 2 days under the dash/hood chasing wires and right now I kinda want to set it on fire.
I'd really appreciate any input that will help me to not commit arson and insurance fraud. :thumbup:
