Very good points Jay, I might actually get 10:1's depending on the cost and availability. I have to carry the block up out of the basement this week and get it to the machine shop so they car start working on it.
Does ARP make main journal botls for our cars yet? When i had the motor built the first time the machinist told me they weren't available(and i couldn't find them on any websites either) , so i did head and rods. He assured me that the factory main bolts were not torque to yield stretchy junkers but actually good bolts that would stand up to any punishment that the rest of the motor could handle.
We will see i guess. I do like teh E85, but i'm finding a lt of things i like about normal pump gas when i have to use it as well.

I was pushing 28si yesterday and running 10:1 AFR's
I started leaning it down a bit into the 11's (no longer needing meth for extra fuel is NICE).. the car was pulling incredibly hard and i was loving every minute of it.
I have turned it up to 28psi and my tial 38mm with 14.5 spring holds it fine. My chip should be here this week so we shall see. I have also bought the maf gen 2 translator with the wideband tracking and timing control . Too get it dialed in.
