Newbie small 16g build with my first DSM

Okay so i have a 1993 Eagle Talon Tsi awd with 14b. I know this has probably been covered but its my own build and I dont know how to start a blog of my build. I have an apexi n1 downpipe and full 3 inch exhaust, fp race manifold, greddy type s bov, and punishment racing fmic. I ran a 15.1 the first time at the track. My 60ft time was 2.5 and i feel like i should be running a better time. Any suggestions?

Now for the build im starting:
Small 16g
Megan ss o2 housing
Turbo xs manual boost controller
Pocketlogger with MMCD and tunerstein software
Prosport evo series oil pressure gauge and boost gauge
Dogbox short throw shifter
Dejon Intake with k&n

Now with this build being completed what should i expect for performance before the afc, fuel pump, and injectors? What about for my 1/4 times? should i see a difference?

Next friday im taking the car to the track! Im only gunna be running the manual boost controller and hopefully hitting 15 psi. After that i will be installing the 16g ect. But i also have 2g maf, 560 injectors, 190 fuel pump, safc 1, and 2g shift fork coming in the mail! I will let you guys know how the track goes! Does anyone know what i should also do?

Hey So im in the same situation as you , first car modding and what not with a small 16g set up.

Ported Exhaust and o2 housing


Honestly DSMLINK is amazing being able to run a narrowband simulation for your front o2 helps things out a lot. And make sure your maintenance is up to date you don't want to ruin your engine.

Im looking for just a better time! my best time was a 13.7. I want to get lower than that. So im putting in the 2900 and a manual boost controller. i already have a boost gauge. Im just looking for 13.5 or lower.

If you are looking for that little gain in track times, you should consider weight reductions and more seat time at the track. Driver mod ftw. that is the best and safest way until you can get the supporting parts you need to run the turbo to its full potential.

I totally agree with you. But my clutch was slipping when i ran that 13.7 at the top of 3rd gear around 5 grand and then a little in fourth gear so i think i did pretty well. And im going for full weight. but thanks for the tips!
