thats all I got for now. exhaust will come soon as well as suspension and guages. I would like to run 20 psi. for race and 10 daily. also run e85. any advise would be good.;)

I was going to buy it new. I am not fond of used turbos. I will look into the holset turbo. How is your spool up time? Is there alot of lag?

Holsets are good, have been researching the crap out of them. A 7 Blade hx35 is capable of 60lbs/min airflow and has 20psi spool at about 4000rpm with a t3 manifold, or if you buy the BEP bolt on housing..go with the 8 blade hx35 and the 55 a/r, good for 52lbs/min airflow and get 20psi spool at 3500rpm.

another question, is internally gated better or worse then external? what about boost creep? I ask all the questions because I want to do it right the first time, and not spend money I don't have to.

I am Changing my turbo to internally gated. I have an external wastegate now but it is annoying and takes up too much space. Plus the hotside on my turbo is wierd the holes on it and won't seal right so I can't do a wastegate off the o2 housing. Bullseye guarantees there internal wastegates for my turbo to be perfect down to 15 psi. Just a thought. Unless you have a big turbo internal wastegates work fine as long as you run around 20 psi or more. A guy on talk has the same turbo as me and said he has no problems at all with creep. I have a bullseye/ Borg Warner s256.

You have more then enough people here to talk turbo's it seems, so I won't even get into it because we all have different set-ups we like. Your clutch though I will like to talk about. Your PP is good enough and the disk is as well, but as a daily driver the disk is so harsh. Especially if you get a unsprung. There is plenty of people who run the 6 puck and some are DD, but majority tend to keep the 6 puck for track only. If you never drove one before I'd say find someone who has that set up and try it out before you commit to it. I ran it and with the traffic in my area (especially boston) people go real fast then stop all of the sudden. That clutch grabs so hard, in that kind of traffic I almost hit the car infront of me 3 times because of it.

External gates are more reliable (less boost creep, spikes), Internal gates are at least $500 cheaper, if you go internal i recommend you get an o2 dump. This will dump wastegate gases to the atmosphere and reduce spikes and creep greatly with internally gated turbos.

good advide, and I will take that into consideration. so does the open dump come off the exhaust or turbo. not sure about that?

The wastegate exhaust and normal exhaust usually go through the same 02 housing but with the o2 dumpe the wastegate exhaust dumps to the atmosphere.
here is what an 02 dump looks like:

It all just depends on the amount of boost you will be running, and how well the exhaust gas is exiting your engine. If you have a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust, and a ported turbine housing, and manifold... then it might be a good idea at looking into an external wastegate. Some people have great success in porting out the o2 housing and the turbine housing, along with opening up the wastegate hole. Personally I like the external gate better. I always had trouble with boost spikes, and boost creep on stock internal gates even with them ported out well.
