i have a 95 tsi fwd auto ;( but i want to do a build when the weather gets warmer her in ohio and i plan on installing a MHI EVO3 16G and i would like to know what else i would need to but to support this turbo at 15 psi 93 octane. so far the car is stock except for a open filter and a custom 2.5 exhaust with no car and a random muffler. the motor is a 7 bolt all stock with 140,420 miles on it and has never been boosted past stock, it even still has the stock never rebuilt t-25 in it.

Start Here And Here, Read up on Everything. Yess it will get boring and you will want to stop. But Dont, Keep reading.

Find something you want to mod. Then target that in the Tech and Vfaq and learn everything you can, Work one mod at a time and before you know it. You will know everything you need to about these cars.

If all you want to do is run a EVO316g @ 15lbs then you can go pretty basic. Get a Walbro 190lph pump and that will provide more than enough fuel while not overrunning your stock regulator. Get a set of 550cc injectors and an SAFC2 and some sort of device to help you monitor your car. Either a wideband or a logger will do the trick. Both would be prefered. You will need a 2g install kit and some other items to make it work on your car. You can keep the stock sidemount but I would recommend an inexpensive FMIC. That stock BOV won't take to kindly to added boost if you keep the stock IC piping. First and foremost I would do a compression check though to make sure everything is ok on your car. When was the last time any maintenance was done? Timing belt ect...

when i start to do the work i will buy a new t-belt just to be safe but i keep all the mait. work up myself always run valvoline syn power and im pretty sure last i checked the compression was about 140+ across all 4 and i just replaced the plugs and will be putting new wires on it soon too. i have been reading up on these for awhile now but havent done any modding and am capable of the work myself so i guess part reccomendations as in manufactorers would be nice, i plan on FIC 550'S SBR FMIC GREDDY TYPE S and probably would have to have some help choosing a logger and SAFC and wideband. but i really do appretiate all the help from everyone.

Yes, definitely make sure your maintenance is up to date first. The 550cc injectors as well as tuning/logging device and a rewired 190lph/evo8/9 fuel pump will meet your goals safely up to 20psi(maybe more) with a good tune. Begin to look into a upgraded intercooler and you should port your o2 housing and manifold as soon as you get a chance. Check out the upgrade paths as well as vfaq.com

i plan on buying a evo 3 o2 and manifold when i start doing all of this too but i just noticed that someone hit my car today and put a huge dent in my quater panel on the drivers side and it sucks ### thats the first dent this car has had behinde the front fenders so this may put a hamper on modding soon but i need a suggestion for a data logger and i have been doing alot of reading on the paths and vfaqs and suck but still personal imput is nice.

The 2g manifold and O2 housing flow more than enough for your goals if you port them! People have made 600+whp on 2g manifold. The O2 housing can be ported very close if not better than evo3 housing. Read vfaq.com
That sux about the dent

unfortunately i dont have the ability to port them myself or a shop smart enough to do it either.

All you need is an electric die grinder and a carbide bit. Take the step's out and smooth the rest. Do a little searching to find out more info. It's not hard at all.

ok so if i port my own housing and manifold what downpipe and exhaust combo should i run since i drive my car in the snow and stuff year round and it needs to be 3in. i am just curious on peoples personal prefrence on this. i personally my buy the hks system

If you want cheap I would go to an exhaust shop and have them run the 3 inch pipes with whatever muffler you want. It will perform just as good as any other brand except it won't have the $800 price tags.

I don't know if sound quality is part of your consideration, but I don't consider DSMs to be "good" sounding cars due to the stock cams and head design. EVOs sound way better out of the factory. Anyway, I would definitely recommend HKS exhaust to make your car sound the best. Or, if custom 3" piping is cheaper, get that and then get an HKS universal 75mm canister welded on the end.
