Starting dsm build number 3!!!

I'm so excited about this build, for the first time I have a shop and all the proper tools and hoist and engine stands etc so I want to do this build right. Finding parts or a parts car VS just pulling my original motor and rebuilding the block myself, I spun a bearing so I'm worried that will be more money then just buying another running driving car and doing some transplant work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Is it a 6 bolt or 7 bolt? If you're buying new rods and pistons I would just get the crank checked to see if it was damaged.

It's a 6 bolt and depending on all the damage I find I will go safe and replace anything that's questionable. Last time I did not replace my main bearings because they still had some coating left on them and I learned my lesson the hard way. Always replace when ur that deep in the engine.
