newb questions....

alright, well a good friend of mine has a 96 gst/atx....i dont know a WHOLE lot about dsm's, but from reading on this site, and a little hands on experience, ive found myself liking the car a lot.

well anyway, he has some mods done, and im trying to help him get into the mid-high 12s. his current mods are listed here:
6-bolt short block with stock 2g head, balance shaft eliminator kit Ported 16g turbo, GM MAF setup, greddy type s BOV, custom turbo intake pipe with cone filter, Turbo xs boost controller, ported exhaust manifold, Tsudo s/s 3" down-pipe w/cat eliminator, Arospeed muffler, Accel spark plug wires with NGK bpr7es spark plugs, walbro 255lph fuel pump, 550cc injectors, safc2, data logger, LM1 wideband, also a/c delete and some suspension

i know he needs a fmic, and some good tuning with the safc, but what other mods are going to be needed to get this fwd car into the 12's?

im a newb in the dsm scene, but not in the performance scene. see our gtp here:http://www.cardomain.com/id/phat_gtp7

anywayz, will he be able to drive this car into the 12's w/ stock cams, head, and only a 16g?

im assuming youd want a 11.5 (=/-) afr...and maybe 20psi?

either way, any suggestions would be great! sorry for the REPOST!!!

Sorry to tell you but its going to need a lot more then what you have listed to make mid twelves, cams, 20 psi, c16 race gas, lsd, and slicks, as well as a good tune.

In the 1/4 mile times.
Different people run diffeent things to get into the 12's. See what they have and go from there.
I think if you add the LSD and tires for traction, you should be able to get into the 12's as long as you have the ability to tune the car.
