I'm going to be selling me t04bvtrim turbo because I want to bring the engine to almost stock. I'm trying to figure out what turbo to buy, either the evo III big 16g or the t-28. I have 650cc injectors in right now but I'm going to be putting the stock injectors back in. I will only tune with the safc II and palm pilot. thats why I'm only doing stock injectors so I dont have to take out alot of fuel. what turbo should I go with?

I will be putting in new rods and pistons and bearings and all that shit, pretty much a short block rebuild. all stock nothing major. (maybe like eagle rods and 2g pistons)

Should I go ahead and remove the balance shafts or will that cause more problems down the road if I remove it?

The reason why I dont want to go much past stock is because Its going to be a DD and not really going to drive it hard or beating the piss out of it. I want something that wont break down on me right after I rebuild it.

If you aren't going to be pushing lots of wheel horsepower, I'd suggest saving money and sticking with the 1g rods. Have the 2g pistons mounted on them, and you'll be fine. Take out the balance shafts while the motor's out; it's much easier that way. Go with an Evo III 16g. Best turbo for what you want out of it. Or, if you have the money, get a BB T28 of somesort.

Why are you building your engine up if returning it to stock? Did you blow it up or something?

BTW.. a T04B V-Trim puts out nearly the same power as an EVO16G, I'd stick with what you got and just lower boost if you want to be slower. In either case, stick with the injectors you have, better to have too much than too little, and 650s are marginal for the 400+ WHP capabilities of either of those turbos.

no the car still runs but very shitty. I blow smoke all the time. and whenever i step on the gas and rev the engine up I can hear a Clunk noise coming from the engine. like something is hitting the cyliders or a bent valve. the speed of the sound increases with higher rpms.
And I was having problems tuning my car with just the safc II and palm pilot. I could tune the low pretty good but I was always rich when doing my runs from 3k on up.

I think when I get home Ill have the head tested and clean up the block.
