I know we need the 1000's, it is just a matter if the walbro can keep up. We are looking to get as close to 30psi as possible. So your car is finally done. Glad to hear it. Did the 2.4 work out alright. Send me some more information on what you have going on.

You have mail! Ya, we went with the 2.4L and a bunch of other toys. I'm riding the fine line between insane track car and street car. I dont want to make so much power that driving the car is dangerous, but I dont want to have to worry about being slower than anyone else I'll run into on the street.

Its a tough job, but someone has to do it!

Now what fun would that be. My car was dangerous wuth the 60-1. I can only imagine when I put a GT-42 on my girlfriends daily driver. That will get scary.

Steve

Which version of the GT-42 is it? That car of yours is going to put down a shitload of power, but its not quite what I want in my street car.

We have different goals - and I personally that the GT42 wheel is too big for a daily driver. WAY too big.

Haven't decided yet. Race car is getting the journal bearing 85lb/min one. the girlfriends car may ge tthe Gt42-1. This is my race car and her daily driver. So its a trade off. She will kick the shit out of everything and I will have fun learing how to put the power down.

Here is the race car we have going now.

I'm impressed - thats a good looking car.

GOOD LUCK GETTING THAT THING TO SPOOL ON THE STEET.

Seriously, thats a monster turbo. You're going to need help getting it to spool at all - and when it does your girl will have a real danger of getting herself killed if she doesnt know how to drive a 700HP car.

Jusr want to let everyone know that at 15psi last night with the SCM61 we hit 42lbs/min @over 6000ft. So I think we are well on our way to hit high 11's low 12's at bandimere speedway.

Steve

That turbo is good for 9s up here man - youre selling yourself short.

when dose the PTE SCM 61 fully spool at what rpm and what boost at what rpm...... the best you can... thanks i would love to get that turbo here soon :thumb:

Well haven't really done a lot just yet. We just put it on to get the car running again. But in its current state with stock timing, it made 5psi by 4000rpm, and hit 15psi(where it is set until this weekend for the dyno) by 4600-4800rpm. This is on a built 2.0L with HKS 272's. Also running rich.

I am sure with some tuning it will come down. Like I said we zeroed fuel and timing out on dsmlink just to see where we had to start from. It flowed 14lb/min more at 8-9 less psi. So we will have to do the fine tuning again. We maxed out the 25/44.
