Hey guys, so I'm new to the DSM world I just picked up a 1999 RS 210,000, everything's stock still. She runs well shifts good except into 3rd I'm guessing the synchronizer is messed up you kinda have to baby it into gear but only for 3rd. I was wondering what's the first things the replace/upgrade when getting these cars. I've already done oil, plugs, packs, I ordered coilovers, control arms since the previous ones look pretty worn. Replaced the fuses(most were dead or blown) and swapped the ignition and locks because the pins inside were sticking even with the application of WD-40 to loosen it up. Since I'm new I was just looking for any other pointers on thing to watch out for that are commonly failing or just cause small problems here and there. Thanks for all the input and help😄.

I would change the trans fluid and fill with some Synchromesh or Mopar ATF+4 and see if it shifts better. It's pretty common for people to use regular gear oil without realizing it damages the synchros. Also when you said that "most" of the fuses were problematic I hope that was a slight exaggeration because that would mean you have a serious electrical issue. Fuses deteriorate like anything else but even a 30 year old car should have most of the originals functioning if no electrical issues were present.
