I am new to DSMs. I have a 98 eclipse GXS. I've reading up on mods and the tech post on here.

I started buying mods. Here is what I have so far.

20g turbo kit
1000 cc injectors
AEM E85 Fuel Pump (Want to run E85)

Here are some questions:

Can I use the AEM Series 2 Plug and Play Engine Management System to tune and run E85?

Do I need anything else to install these mod?

Any help you can give me, thank you

Gonna need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. And I agree, Link would suffice with an easier learning curve.

AEM EMS Series 2 owner checking in.

FMIC new exhaust, hard piped intake, a better BOV. It seems like you are missing all supporting mods. You cannot just throw in big injectors a big turbo and expect to go fast. That's shit blows up. Get ECMlink and learn it. But worry about the little stuff first, It add's up in the long haul

I agree, DSMLink is a much cheaper and easier way to tune than AEM EMS.

You'll also need a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a wideband. It would also be good to get a filter-to-rail kit to eliminate the banjo bolt at the fuel filter outlet. Replacing the stock filter would be a good idea as well.

If you have the stock turbo, I hope you'll be upgrading soon. The stock T25 won't make much more than stock horsepower regardless of fuel type.

And of course, maintenance and supporting mods should always come first.

I've got to say for some being new to dsm. Your car has a bit of kick LOL. My first and current dsm is currently a 90 laser stock engine.

Thank you for the all replys.

I read (Some Where) that 1000cc injectors can be used for E85. Was that wrong info?

To add, yes I know about all the supporting mods. I already found FMIC and piping I want. Going to go with a Greddy BOV. It has an hks exhaust, boost controler and timing contorl on it already. Just wanted to know if there was a better way of tuning and if I'm was missing any big parts.

I am thinking of going with this to complete the fuel side:
FUELAB "515" COMPLETE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR KIT
http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=21505&cat=269

FUELAB "818" COMPLETE FUEL FEED UPGRADE KIT
http://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=26263

i would say make sure u have all supporting mods b4 going all in
i would suggest 1250+ if ## gonna go big then have enough to cover the future situations with dsmlink u can make the 1250's run like 1050's if u rly wanna LOL

Many factors come in to play when determining injector size. If you plan to push your 20g on e85 (26psi+) I would go with at least some 1250's. I would recommend some 1350's or larger if it is your budget.

A wally 255hp rewired will be more then enough pump for your power goals and is reasonably cheap. I would look into a afpr as well.

As far as tuning goes I would go dsmlink v3.

You will want to add a fmic to that list. I would recommend the vrsf kit.

What all does it have done to it already? Miles? I would take care of all the necessary maintenance before you go spending lots of money on performance parts. Just do lots of reading and research before purchasing parts. Welcome!

ECMTuning (aka dsmlink) V3 Lite is where I would start: ECMTuning, Inc.. For the injectors it depends on airflow and fuel. On E85 you need roughly 30% more fuel then you would with pump gas. Fuel Injector Clinic has a calculator that should help you decide what you need: Flow Calculator. A lot of people throw around this generic rule that you must use 1000cc injectors for E85. I am running E85 on my DSM and Evo, one is running 850cc injectors and the other 750cc injectors. It all depends on how much air you are flowing.
